We moved to our current offices in Church Street in December 2015 to provide better office amenities.  We have continued to invest in IT and maintain high level proprietary employment agency software on up-to-date computer systems. Our database which has been growing over many years provides us with excellent search facilities to enable efficient and accurate matching of candidates to roles. The system also enables us to log all communication giving us an audit trail for each role.

Our Consultants do not receive individual commission; they work together as a team to ensure they find you the right candidate. We pride ourselves on getting the right match for your specific requirements and gaining a full understanding of our Client’s business is paramount in successful recruitment.

How do you match Candidates to our vacancy?

We work with you to gain an in-depth knowledge of your departments and structure to make sure we find the right people for you. We work to our mantra of ‘Quality not Quantity’, only sending you the CV’s of Candidates that most closely match your specification. Our highest success has been when we have a full briefing of the vacancy. Job descriptions can sometimes be quite generic so the opportunity to discuss the role is always a great benefit for us to find the right Candidate match. All vacancies and Candidate information is placed on our dedicated recruitment agency database.

Candidates

Every Candidate we submit has been assessed by one of our Consultants to fully understand their career objectives and suitability to match your needs. We conduct a face-to-face interview where we analyse Candidates CV’s, evaluate their experience, qualifications, ability to do the job, team work, attitude and professionalism. Our Candidates will always be made fully aware of your vacancy before we submit their CV for consideration. It is not our policy to send CV’s to you without the Candidate’s prior knowledge

Once a suitable Candidate has been identified, we ensure that our Client’s pre-employment screening has been met.

Pre-Screening

On registration with ASL Recruitment all Candidates are interviewed by a consultant and are required to:

  • Complete the ASL pre-employment screening form
  • Provide 2 independent sources of proof of residential address (dated within the previous 3 months)
  • Provide proof of legal right to work in Jersey (Visa checks if necessary)
  • Provide Photographic Identification
  • Provide proof of Qualifications and Professional Memberships together with any supporting documentation.  All original documents are copied and certified.
  • If required, we can use validated skills and behavioral tests to determine skill levels and identify the most talented candidates for the role. We have access to over 1,500 validated assessments for clerical, software, technical, call centre, financial, legal, medical and more. We hold these tests at our office.
  • We also offer additional screening if required including credit, sanctions and criminal record checks.

Wider Provision of Services through Partnerships

We have built successful and trusted partnerships with other local specialist agencies.  By combining our services we can offer a comprehensive recruitment and provision from receptionist to MD – temporary, contract and permanent

  • Skills testing –  we have access to over 1,500 validated assessments for clerical, software, technical, call centre, financial, legal, medical and more
  • A comprehensive Out-Placement Support Service – working closely with Client Organisations and Employees to provide a bespoke service to meet the needs of both parties
  • Candidate preparation for the Out-Placement Service type Candidates – developing a CV, CV review, assistance with submitting an application, interview preparation, the ‘do’s & don’ts’ of the recruitment cycle, mock interviews etc
  • A range of psychometric tools which includes Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) and TTI – Success Insights
  • Executive coaching – a bespoke, intensive, business orientated 1:1 service focussing on the individual’s strengths, personal objectives and barriers
  • Management and HR consultancy assignments
  • Tailor made management development programmes to fit in with core organisational values, objectives and processes. Typical courses have included performance, review and appraisal, management development for operational managers, time management

We provide a competitively priced service for all aspects of payroll.   We offer an accurate, reliable service including all current local legislation relating to Employment, Social Security and Income Tax.
