A fantastic Management Accountant opportunity has arisen within an expanding and progressive business.

The purpose of the role is to maintain the financial records of the company, ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately, control accounts are reconciled, cash is accounted for and that financial controls are maintained. Also, to assist the Finance Director in ensuring appropriate professional standards are established and upheld.

Principal Responsibilities
To complete various month end tasks by the set deadlines, including the reconciling of all inter-company control accounts;
To reconcile the Group’s monthly bank statements;
Assist in the implementation of internal policies relating to receipts in line with merchant and card acquired requirements;
To prepare comprehensive and accurate weekly flash reports and monthly Management Accounts by the set deadlines.
Develop KPI’s and other types of management information in order to assist the decision making of the business;
Develop and maintain adequate and effective internal controls to ensure the effective operation of the business.
Complete timely statutory returns including GST, IT IS and Social Security;
Maintain the Chart of Accounts for the business, updating and making amendments when necessary
To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of various IT systems
To review systems and procedures with a view to offering suggestions for improvement
Assist the Finance Director in the close down and preparation of the annual statutory accounts within the set deadlines;
To prepare the annual budget and associated company reforecasts;
Support the operations side of the business to ensure key individuals have the financial support to help them follow and understand the company’s policies and procedures
Any other duties at the request of the Finance Director

Skills & Experience
Preferably qualified to Accounting Technician standard, although being qualified by experience will be considered
Good interpersonal skills and a team player, with the ability to communicate and deal with all levels of staff throughout the business
Experience of working in a Commercial Accounting Environment
Knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work on own initiative
