Associate Director – Risk and Compliance

Our client is a publicly listed, award-winning provider of fund, corporate and private wealth services to institutional and private clients.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join their Risk and Compliance team in Jersey.

Purpose of job

This position is principally responsible for driving the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Group in line with regulations, standards, best practice and emerging risk.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of risk management strategies and possess knowledge of international legislation, regulations, industry standards and best practice. Relevant experience of drafting, planning, training and embedding compliance policies and procedures within a business is necessary. A professional qualification is desirable.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

• Contribute to the Group’s compliance and risk strategy and culture; liaising across multi jurisdictions on regulatory matters to support the Groups commercial business control framework
• Responsibility for ensuring an effective and efficient Policies and Procedures model ensuring that these are practical and fit for purpose, in line with regulatory changes, best practice, emerging risks, reflecting the Group Business model and ensuring a consistent approach across the Group
• Provision of Policy and Procedure training across the Group
• Review of integrated businesses Policy and Procedures to ensure implementation of best practice.
