Our client is a leading global provider of alternative asset and corporate administration services delivering tailored fiduciary services to a highly valued international client base through a global network of regulated businesses within 19 leading financial jurisdictions.

Role summary

As a member of the Marketing & Events team, you will be responsible for the supervision and execution of all event planning and delivery of scheduled events at the Group in the EMEA region. This will include the management of all related activities including but not limited to external and internal communications, branding, campaigns, marketing collateral, events and literature. This position will report to the Director of global marketing & corporate communications, but also work closely with the other team members of the global marketing, events and communication function in order to execute the planned events. This position will be a fully integrated member of the existing team.

They must be a conceptual thinker, able to work independently and with a team, and see every project to the finish with relentless focus and a can-do attitude. You must be receptive to feedback from all levels, especially senior business leaders across our global business.
This is a full-time position and will be based in our Jersey office.

Key responsibilities

Direct report:
• Report to the Director, Global Marketing & Corporate Communications.
• Working closely with other members of the Marketing, Events & Communications team.

Operating model:
• Liaise with all relevant global product lead directors and country heads – including go-to-market-teams, group functions and jurisdictions where appropriate.
• Monitoring and evaluation of the industry landscape, such as ongoing competitor analysis and data gathering, as well as the coordination of research projects.
• Help to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are managed and tracked appropriately.

Events, conferences and sponsorships:
• Plan, coordinate and execute (either by self or through regional colleagues located in country) key client events in conjunction with the EMEA regional business plan.
• Carry out full debrief meeting with client services team who attended events to understand what didn’t work and what can be improved for next time.
• Regularly update and communicate internally the Group‐wide event schedule timeously with colleagues in region.

Branding:
• Custodian of the Group brand in the EMEA region from an event point of view – ensuring compliance with Group corporate identity standards across all marketing channels. Work with Brand leaders in marketing function, to drive consistent brand communications and layout of event materials & collateral.
• Work with team members to ensure all event branding adheres to agreed brand guidelines, and all production and design of all branded marketing collateral and corporate gifts including stationery, service brochures, corporate brochures, folders, briefing notes, product notes and advertising, is done in a timely manner – as part of the event planning process.

Marketing Projects:
• From time-to-time, there will be a number of marketing projects that are being undertaken at a PLC, group-wide, jurisdictional and local level. This role will help to project manage and drive these projects through their various phases to completion and success.

Financial performance:
• Ensure that all marketing spend is carefully monitored and tracked and has been approved by the Director of Marketing & Communications prior to order.

Risk and regulatory:
• Ensure all marketing material adhere to regulatory signoff and has gone through the approval process.

Business Development:
• Assist with the production of all North America regional RFPs to ensure they comply with latest information on the region.

Skills / experience required
• Degree in Marketing or related courses with marketing major or related subjects OR have relevant event planning or project management and operational planning skills.
• Five + years’ business / office experience preferably from a professional services background in events and/or marketing
• Proven expertise in the full spectrum of marketing specifically PR, communications and event management
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, both face‐to‐face and via telephone
• Advanced skill level of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience in working and negotiating with various suppliers including print, design, digital and PR agencies
• Experience in working closely with Senior Executives
• Collaborative spirit, ability and desire to work with marketing function team who are located globally.
• Hands‐on marketing operations role which requires detailed planning, multi‐tasking, coordination and seamless execution
• Not a specialist/creative role, requires more general marketing skills with strong attention to detail
• Big picture thinking and part of an international Group and team, but requires local focus, implementation and accountability
• Time allocation: Events 45%; PR /Comms 35%; General marketing/branding and admin 15%
• No direct reports, but supported by the Group Marketing team
• People skills essential as job involves working with and sometimes managing staff on all levels
• Adaptable, resilient, ability to think on your feet and be proactive
• Team player who is capable of working independently and use initiative
• Flexible – willingness to work after hours to manage client events, primarily in North America region.
