Job Spec:

To maintain accurate and timely client financial records.
The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring client service excellence is delivered to clients following the policies and objectives of the Company.

Duties & responsibilities
Maintenance of client records by accurate input
Posting and reconciling bank accounts
Posting and reconciling investment movements
Posting journals as necessary
Maintain Ledgers in a timely and accurate manner
Increase understanding and interpretation of trust paperwork
Assisting documentation/update of procedures for Client Bookkeeping
Carry out a reconciliation of all trust and company assets on a quarterly basis
Sales ledger and company payments
Posting & reconciling fee income & debtor accounts

Produce and manage communication requests where necessary.
Undertake other administration tasks and provide cover as required where training has been received.
Liaise with Custodians in reconciliation
Liaise with Managers
Liaise with Administrators
Provide holiday and sickness cover for other Bookkeepers

Abilities and Skills

Good level of skill in the use of standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Good level of written and oral communication skills enabling effective contact at all levels both internal and external.
Ability to work on own initiative.
A detailed and structured approach.
Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility in order to cope with the ever-changing demands of the role.

Good level of analytical and problem solving.
Good interpersonal skills.
High level of organisational and prioritisation skills.
High degree of flexibility and willingness to help others.
Friendly and professional manner.


A professional qualification such as AAT or similar would be an advantage, but suitable candidates may be qualified through relevant or similar industry experience.
