This is an ongoing role

– Substantial generalist human resource experience in advising managers on a number of HR areas with a minimum of 4 years in a HR Business Partner role.
– Comprehensive knowledge of Employment, Discrimination, Data Protection legislation, and other relevant laws and legislation, regulatory requirements and their impact on working practices to ensure no breach is made.
– Excellent operational knowledge of internal policies and terms and conditions of employment, to ensure accurate appropriate advice to managers and to ensure staff issues are dealt with fairly and in line with the appropriate policy / terms and conditions.
– Highly developed operational working knowledge of business area objectives as well as HR strategic plan and objective. A requirement to keep abreast of and anticipate emerging organisational and commercial issues and developments.
– Knowledge of the strategic direction of the business area, HR and the States of Jersey and ability to respond accordingly to that strategic direction.
– Maintain up-to date knowledge of changes in policies and procedures, employment law and of best practice in the field of HR
