Data Protection Analyst

The Data Protection Analyst will assist the Central Data Protection Unit.

Functions of the CDPU include (but are not limited to):
– Developing Data Protection policy and procedure to guide, inform and advise (in cooperation with the Data Protection Officer)
– Leadership and expertise on Data Protection.
– The public point of contact for Data Protection
– Management reporting of Data Protection issues
– Training and internal communications
– The development of policy and legislation

– Hold a professionally recognised data protection qualification or be willing to study towards such a qualification.
– Trusted to maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality, requiring vetting to DBS enhanced level.
– Working knowledge of data protection legislation.
– Good verbal and written communication skills. Self-confidence to provide staff training.
– At least two years experience in the practical handling of personal and special category data.
