Our client has a new requirement for a Business compliance officer, to join the Global Services department in Jersey, and act as a Compliance Officer, MLRO and MLCO to Jersey client entities. The role is ideally looking for someone that would be happy to move into a permanent space, however this role is being offered as a contract position for 3-4 months also with the view to this being extended.

The successful candidate will act as a Compliance Officer MLRO and MLCO – for regulated client entities, with responsibility for providing a comprehensive compliance service to those entities and their boards including maintenance of the compliance and AML/CFT framework for those entities. Their aim will be to provide support, advice and guidance to the Division’s Business Unit on regulatory compliance and AML/CFT matters and to participate in the Division’s effort to promote a robust risk and systems and controls environment.

Key skills needed for the role:
– Strong previous experience in holding a Compliance Officer, MLRO, MLCO position for fund and / or fund management company entities regulated in Jersey.
– A recognized compliance or other professional qualification
– A detailed knowledge of AML/CFT and relevant regulatory / supervisory laws and regulations
– Good IT skills, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
– Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
– Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to produce good quality, concise reports and business correspondence as well as an ability to clearly relay information verbally to managers, clients and client board directors
