What is Temporary Work?

As you would expect, the term 'temp' stands for a temporary member of staff who is employed by us for a company for a variety of reasons, to cover sickness, to assist with project work, to cover maternity leave or to help during a busy period. Your contract would be with us as we would be your employer. 

As a temp you can be offered a variety of positions in different organisations to further develop your skills. ASL registers lots of temporary vacancies each week and can offer a high degree of flexibility in that we would endeavour to arrange assignments (including hours of work) that suit your lifestyle. Working in Jersey's Finance Industry on a temporary basis is a great way of building your skills and your long term employability within the industry

Travelling / Gap Year Work Experience

Have you just returned from travelling or are you are taking a gap year? You may be short of cash so temping is a great stop gap before finding the right permanent position, embarking on further adventures or returning back to full time education. It is a great way of getting first hand experience of the variety of careers available within the finance industry.

Temporary to Permanent

If you are undecided on the type of job or industry in which you would like to work, temping is an excellent opportunity to learn more before accepting a position on a permanent basis.

You will then be contacted to call into our office to complete our application form. You will have an interview with one of the consultants and carry out a keyboard exercise if it is relevant to the work you are looking for.
